Burgers and apples

Remember how a while back, there was a post about JC and how I haven't met up with her for a while for a catch up, and that I should call her? Then a day later, she actually DID message me and we organised a catch up the following week? It's great timing and an absolute coincidence that her boss was leaving for a week, which means she can take a 2.5 hour lunch break :D

And this time, I actually remember where the cake and apple juice comes from.

I don't usually post pictures of people, but there she is, blurry at the back! We ended up at Charlie's Burger place, located at Pitt Street's westfield, just upstairs at the food court.

I've heard great things about the burgers here, and they really were quite good. These truffle and Parmesan  chips were so good, I actually wish I could have enjoyed them properly. Needless to say, after that big burger, I barely had room for chips. My burger was pretty good, but a tad overpriced for what burgers should be priced at, though one can never put a price on a good friend's catch up =D JC and I don't really consider prices of food when we catch up, it's really more for the experience and trying new things.

JC decided to try their vegetarian burger, which had a huge mushroom... but she said the sauce overpowered the other ingredients... she preferred the hot dog store nearby ^^''

As usual, dessert after lunch! We were walking around, went to EB games for her to preorder something and then felt thirsty and craved sweets, so~ since this place is near her workplace, we went there again. This was her tiramisu.

My mango and white chocolate cake.

And what we came for: their freshly squeezed granny smith apple juice. Loved it! And I did note, the place is called Janus Cafe.

Then I completely embarrassed myself by walking into the glass door. It was one of those revolving doors and I mistook the entrance... =( Got a bruise on my knee, but at least I didn't break my nose like that granny at the apple store =P Not gonna sue.

That big dome looks awesome! Charlie's Burgers are overpriced but they are yummy! Their massive size makes them unwieldy to eat, lol.

It wasn't that big, haha, but it was nice! Charlie's burgers were huge, it almost defeated me, but the fries were so good that we just had to try it anyway. My friend ate most of it because she got the lesser of the two burgers =D
